A bench warrant was issued for R. Kelly today for his failure to appear in a Chicago court for his child pornography case. According to Kelly’s defense lawyer, Ed Genson, he was held up in Utah because of the snow:

State police pulled over Kelly’s tour bus in Green River, Utah, to check the bus’ log, Genson said. The log details how long a particular driver has been driving a bus. The police ordered Kelly’s bus to stop for eight hours because the log had not been properly filled out, Genson said.

The bus went to the nearest motel. “We had a lawyer down there. We cut the eight hours down to three or four,” Genson said.

Genson assured Gaughan that Kelly had made every effort to make it to court on time. “Mr. Kelly is presently about two hours away from the courtroom,” Genson said.

Pimp C is best know for being in the group UGK. UGK is from Port Arthur, Texas formed in 1987 by long-time friends the late Chad "Pimp C" Butler and Bernard "Bun B" Freeman. They released their first album, Too Hard to Swallow in 1992, followed by several other albums charting on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The group has also been featured on hit singles by other artists, such as on "Big Pimpin'" by Jay-Z, "Sippin' on Some Syrup" by Three 6 Mafia, and "Front Back" by T.I..

WHY IS SHE EVEN COMING OUT WITH A SECOND ALBUM.... OH SHE HAD A FIRST?

SOLANGE recently signed to Geffen Records and plans to release her sophomore album, "Hadley Street Dreams," in the second quarter of 2008.
Solange told Billboard.com that she is finishing the album now. Her first song more then likely will be Pharell of the NEPTUNES.

"Her record is totally bananas," Geffen Records chairman Ron Fair tells Billboard.com. "It's not what people would expect from her. The music is more eclectic and international. She's in her own lane."
