[Question of the Day:] ARE YOU STILL WEARING THE BLACK FACE??

Sometimes it’s difficult for African Americans to realize that “Jim Crow” was still less then 50 years ago and some of the same mistreatments continue to occur today. The question for today is “Are you still wearing the Black Face?"

The term Black face comes from a period in time when racism was at its height. Most of these images would come from white actors depicting black people by putting black paint on their face and white or red paint around the mouth symbolizing a stereotype that black people have huge lips.

If you have just read this explanation of what a black face is and had no type of emotion evoked… then I think you should do more research.

This question derived from a conversation I had with a friend of mine and she mention that a lot of entertainers don’t even know they are being a puppet for the entertainment industry. Most of the entertainers are wearing the black face [wearing paint & hiding behind their flaws] and don’t even know it.
