The son of rap music legend Dr. Dre was found dead at his home in Woodland Hills on Saturday morning, according to reports. Andre Young Jr. was found when his mother went to check on him around 10 a.m. The 20-year-old man was unresponsive, prompting his mother to call 911. The cause of death is unknown, pending completion of a toxicology report, reports Australian news source Livenews.com. Andre Young Sr. - better known as “Dr. Dre” - is an award winning producer who gained fame and notoriety as a part of the influential gangsta rap group NWA. He later becoming co-owner of West Coast record label Death Row records. Dr. Dre is currently working on Detox, an album reputed to be his last.
We wish Dr. Dre the best in this situation. Sometimes we take things for granted.
The Secret Life of Bees will hit theaters October 17th. It will star Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Dakota Fanning and Sophie Okonedo.
Synopsis: Set in South Carolina in 1964, the film version of “The Secret Life of Bees” is the moving tale of Lily Owens (Dakota Fanning) a 14 year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother. I guess this is going to be a good look for these three black women actors. It seems to be a quality movie that people will not support anyway.

Thousands of mourners came out for a Chicago memorial service honoring Bernie Mac Saturday. Some fans slept outside overnight in hopes of securing a seat inside the House of Hope church on the city’s South Side, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer and Rev. Jesse Jackson attended the emotional service, in which photos from the comedian’s career were shown on projectors and the White Sox organization presented Mac’s widow Rhonda with a No. 1 jersey bearing his name, the paper reports.
Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama and Andy Garcia also sent condolences. During the service, Mayor Richard Daley remembered Mac as someone with “a heart and passion.” Daley, who met with Mac a few weeks ago, added: “He knew the street, he knew the people, and that’s why he was a king of comedy. He wanted to do something personally to get children away from the life of violence. . . . He never lost his soul in Chicago.”
Percy miller aka Master P will be the first rapper to own his own television network. Master P has announced the launch of Better Black Television.
“BBTV is a family friendly network that will provide positive content for a black and brown culture that will appeal to all races with a goal to bring people of color a choice when turning on their television. The content on the channel will contain a wide arrangement from health and fitness, animation, financial planning, reality TV, sitcoms, dramas, movies, responsible hip-hop music and videos, politics, sports and entertainment news, educational children’s shows as well as teen and family programming. Production has begun and will be based out of California, New York, Louisiana and Florida. In addition, BBTV is in the process of purchasing local cable channel affiliates across the country.”

What will it take for rappers to understand to have some type of longevity in this game you have to get behind a brand and ride it to the wheels fall off…. And you have to have some type of vision.

Comedian Bernie Mac died at Northwestern Memorial hospital early Saturday morning, according to Sun-Times Columnist, Stella Foster. He was 50.
Though the cause of death has not been confirmed, Mac had been hospitalized recently for pneumonia. Foster said that she received calls early Saturday morning from a close friend of the Mac family, confirming the reports of Mac’s death.

Did you really believe that T.I. was not going to keep putting out this music. He has to get out here and show people that this album is going to be something worth waiting for . As much as controversy sells record, the beef of two rappers have collided and has been terminated. If you listen to the new song with T.I. & Ludacris you can clearly see that there is more to come from the two Atlanta rappers.
For a long time T.I. and Ludacris have been sparing on records about each other … but a small altercation ensued with Ludacris manager( Chaka Zulu) & T.I. which made the situation with the two rapper even worse

We can clearly see that when Usher fired his manager /Mom Johnetta Patton, that Usher went down. This album would have done better if his mom was manager, she set up relationships for a life time then had to give it all up . This was a great move for Usher.

This is not helping in the worse way because most of the voters that are white will look at Obama and believe that he is trying to be the president of black people…but infact this man is trying to be the president of the entire United States. Things can turn real sour if Obama gets into office and the African American voters that believe he’s the “Black” president… will be in for a true wake up call.

Sometimes it’s difficult for African Americans to realize that “Jim Crow” was still less then 50 years ago and some of the same mistreatments continue to occur today. The question for today is “Are you still wearing the Black Face?"
The term Black face comes from a period in time when racism was at its height. Most of these images would come from white actors depicting black people by putting black paint on their face and white or red paint around the mouth symbolizing a stereotype that black people have huge lips. This question derived from a conversation I had with a friend of mine and she mention that a lot of entertainers don’t even know they are being a puppet for the entertainment industry. Most of the entertainers are wearing the black face [wearing paint & hiding behind their flaws] and don’t even know it.
