Why have we not revisited this issue of GAY marriages? It seem like the topic of discussion is Healthcare, Iraq, National Security that people would like to know about. But in fact there are several issues that have been visited at the beginning of these debates but have obviously been blanketed from the glitz and glamour of the political games.
Early on there were so many views discussed but have we lost the focus of what the American people really want. What happen to the GAY RIGHT ACTIVIST? Atlanta men and would that represent this community should be more appalled then I am because I don’t wish to partake in that activity but this needs to be ONE NATION, ONE AMERICA.

At this time John Edwards has not endorsed a particular candidate. The real issue or shall I say situation is where does Edwards votes go to, Will they vote for Hillary or Obama?
Why is this suddenly a surprise that Edwards is dropping, did he have the money to stay in? What primary did Edwards win? Was he even a strong enough candidate?? I will say that Edwards does have a lot of views that will change the face of this nation, but he is no PRESIDENT.

Be cautious as to who you vote for make sure you vote for the issues. RACE and GENDER should not matter. Some African American voters are weary about Senator OBAMA speaking simple rhetoric and not knowing anything about how to run the country. Others fill that Hillary has no real concrete issues that will transcend this nation past the state we’re in now.
Now, Where does the Edwards voters turn to.. We shall see but political analyst have predicted that 75% of the voters will roll with Obama on this one. Edwards is more likely to support Obama because of their youth and their message of CHANGE and his adamant issues that he disagrees with Hillary on!
John Edwards will be meeting in New Orleans to discuss his on going support with poverty. Phone calls were made to OBAMA and CLINTON on poverty issues that he wants them to continue to focus on.

We can all make assumption about the non-influential nature that, writers, authors, actors, rappers, singer or even black political figures have on the black vote – and you would be all fooling yourselves. The article touches on how Maya Angelou , a good friend of Oprah, has endorsed Hillary Clinton. In my head I immediately thought it had to be a great reason for Angelou to go against her long time friend Oprah !
When you have Oprah Winfry[One of the most well respected African American Women in today’s society] begins to endorse an candidate; Maya Angelou [ An acclaimed author, activist , and overall well-renowned and respected black women ] starts to support Hillary Clinton, this adds a separation in the black vote.
Recently, when reading the article in the AJC [ Atlanta Journal Continuation ] about the Toni Morrison/ Barack Obama Vs. Maya Angelou/ Hillary Clinton and it was shocking to read some of the comments of black voters.
One thing I would like to do is speak to all black voters! Whether or not you are a supporter of Obama or Clinton; please listen to the issues! Personally I am tired of hearing the reason [excuse] that Clinton is more “EXPERIENCED” then Obama.
If you look back into our history, most of our presidents had some type of history. We have more then 10 years of BUSH and CLINTON in the White House. It is time for change. And I know you ask yourself, at what cost would this so-called “CHANGE” be for my well being.

According to BlackFilm.com, Dreamgirls star Beyonce Knowles has been cast to play famed singer Etta James in the forthcoming film Cadillac Records. The story is about Leonard Chess, the legendary founder of the South Side Chicago blues label Chess Records. Three producers from Chester, Pennsylvania have filed a lawsuit against Ludacris that claims the superstar MC swiped one their ideas for a song. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Anthony Turner, Damon Mayfield and Markus Vick — known as the Boogii Men Entertainment Group — filed the suit in U-S District Court in Philly last week. The suit attests that the Boogii Men sent a beat CD called Boogii Men Beats Volume 1 to Luda’s Disturbing Tha Peace label back in 2004, but were brushed off when they reached out to see if there was any interest in any of their tracks. The trio claims that when the rapper dropped his next album six months later, The Red Light District, they noticed similarities between one of their tracks and the song “Get Back.”
It is unclear whether or not the men are asking for an injunction against sales of the CD, nor is the amount of any punitive or compensatory damages sought known. Their attorney declined to comment on the case to the Inquirer.

Lil’ Wayne was bailed out of custody in Yuma, Arizona, yesterday, and is now facing three felony drug charges. Federal DEA agents busted Wayne’s tour bus on Tuesday, and found about four ounces of marijuana and approximately an ounce of cocaine. They also found a 40-calibre pistol, which it turned out Wayne has a permit to carry in Florida, although not in Arizona – the feds are still looking into that. According to New York's Daily News rapper Uncle Murda was shot in the head late Tuesday night but the injury was not serious. Murda, signed to Roc-A-Fella Records by Jay-Z and backed by DJ Green Lantern, suffered a minor head wound after he was grazed by a bullet while sitting in a parked car in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn. There is no word on whether the rapper has been released from the hospital.

Busta Rhymes copped a plea Wednesday to various charges and was ordered by a judge to serve three years probation. Rhymes pleaded guilty to four charges including two assault charges and a DUI, according to his lawyer Scott Leemon. In addition to facing probation the rapper was ordered to enroll into a drunk-driving education program and pay a 1,250-dollar fine as part of his plea in the case.
MTV News reports that Lil Wayne, along with two unknown members of his entourage, were arrested for possession of drugs Tuesday night by DEA agents in Yuma, Arizona. According to the local DEA spokesperson, Border Patrol found a .40 caliber gun, 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy and various drug paraphernalia on the rapper’s bus. Wayne is charged with possession of cocaine, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia due to the narcotics being found in a bag that allegedly belonged to him. His two associates are charged with possession of marijuana. As of press time, all three men were awaiting a bail hearing at the Walton Justice Court.

If you have not already heard the philatropist,the rapper and the businessmen, Ludacris is teaming up with restaurateur Chris Yeo to open an upscale, Asian influenced restaurant in midtown Atlanta this spring. According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Luda picked up the property for 2.7 million dollars early last year, initially as a real estate investment. After meeting San Francisco based Yeo through a mutual friend, the idea for a partnership was born. Yeo, who is Chinese but was born in Singapore, currently owns four successful restaurants in California, and plans to open three more with the rapper in the Atlanta area. Luda and Yeo are looking to open in April.
It has come with much sadness that R&B star USHER has suffered a loss from his father. Usher Raymond, III passed away Friday at a hospital in Atlanta, according to reports. His cause of death was not immediately known.
Usher was still close to his father after the split up from his mom.

Three former Drug Enforcement Administration agents have filed a $55 million defamation lawsuit against the movie studio that produced "American Gangster," claiming it has ruined the reputations of hundreds of people.
NBC Universal, owned by General Electric, denied the allegations, saying: "American Gangster does not defame these, or any, federal agents. The end legend specifically refers to members of 'New York City's Drug Enforcement Agency' -- not the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, where the plaintiffs formerly worked. More troubles in the R.Kelly case. Some people really want this case to be over but we can all attest that this young lady is getting old and the evidence is getting to be null in void. If you have not remembered it has been nearly 6 years since the alleged sex tape first surfaced.
the prosecutors originally sought to have testimony from one expert witness, Dr. Sharon Cooper, cover several different areas, including the age of the girl on the tape based on forensic pediatrics, the identification of the man on the tape based on the vein pattern on his hands and the behavior profile of the girl based on the psychology of child sex-abuse victims.
Judge Vincent Gaughan had previously ruled that Dr. Cooper could testify about the victim's age, but not the behavior profile, so prosecutors had asked him to reconsider. At a hearing on Monday, Gaughan ruled once again that Dr. Cooper would not be able to testify about why the girl in the case would deny that she was a victim or how common denial is in sex-abuse cases. Kelly is due back in court March 12 th for another pre-trial hearing.

A sad story out of my home town of Cincinnati, Ohio –a pastor was convicted of molesting a teen girl. A crowd of about 50 congregation members and relatives packed a Butler County courtroom and spilled out into the hallway as the pastor of a Hamilton church was sent to prison for 15 months for molesting a Fairfield teen. The Rev. Bruce Curtis, 54, of Community Friendship Church was convicted last month of attempted sexual battery and sexual imposition involving the 17-year-old girl that he was counseling. This has come to a surprise to us but the music industry downloading craze is just about to heat up !Sony BMG has confirmed that they have made an agreement that will allow Amazon.com to sell tracks from their artists without copy protection. That means that the songs can be played on any portable music player. According to the BBC, all of Sony’s catalog will appear on Amazon’s MP3 store by the end of January. It makes Amazon the only company to be selling MP3s from the four major music companies without the copy protection, immediately making the online store a far more significant rival of Apple’s iTunes.
