:::::The Source Magazine is Under new Management:::::

The Source
Magazine is "100% Benzino Free"
&
Taking over by
Black Enterprise/Greenwich Street Corporate Growth Partners

A final decision has been made by the Supreme Court of the State of New York in favor of the takeover of The Source magazine by Black Enterprise/Greenwich Street Corporate Growth Partners.

The words that you hear murmured these days from the wall of the Source magazine are “100% Benzino Free.” Now to some this does not mean anything but to an artist like Eminem or 50 cent this may mean a whole different outlet of readers opening up .

Allegedly in the past, there were words said that Eminem could not be on the cover of the SOURCE magazine. Now this is nothing but speculations but at the height of the career of Mr. Marshal mathers himself Eminem not being on the cover of the Source magazine that has to be something absurd about that. It was said that Benzino was not being ethical in his operational duties and focusing a lot of his duties on rapping ad other side venture.

So when you hear that Black enterprise is under new management ad it is “100% Benzino Free”, it means a lot to many more then just the webmaster that plastered it all over the Source Magazine website.

Now with Black Enterprise taking over The Source Magazine, there is a lot that we need to pay close attention to as avid readers of the young hip publication.

I don’t know when the last time you have ready the Black Enterprise magazine but it is trying to evolved into putting new, hot, trendy business ideas in their for the young black hipster but is it enough to keep the readers of the SOURCE?

These are all question that we sit and contemplate upon but we know that the Greenwich group are a professional entity that ca control the revenue of a large publication like THE SOURCE. Even in an entertainment publication like THE SOURCE, has their mind upon the business aspect of it all. I believe that is THE SOURCE was not thinking about business it would not be at the point it is in now.

Now ask yourself, will the content of the magazine change? Will the advertising of the magazine change? Will the direction of the magazine change? These are all things that will affect the evolution of the newly renovated SOURCE magazine.

But please, be careful, there are so many magazines that are taking shape in the rap world. Some of the magazine that are taking their own silhouette are magazines like Grip magazine in Atlanta, Break Magazine in Atlanta, OZONE Magazine in Florida, DOWN magazine, F.E.D.S magazine to name a few. Now you can see by the brief list that there is room for a sudden take over if the Source magazine ever gets watered down.

As of Thursday March 23, Textron Financial, the company's senior leader, is free to sell the portion of the company that Dave Mays owns. In his ruling, Judge Richard B. Lowe III stated that "the contracts and agreements are clear, unequivocal and unambiguous and should be enforced." According to the ruling, Mays willingly signed contracts giving BE/Greenwich Street Partners the right to take control if he defaulted on debt obligations. By not fulfilling these obligations Mays lost control of the company and along with full ownership.

"[David] Mays and Raymond 'Benzino' Scott have consistently made false statements over the last two months about their continuing control of The Source," said Jeremy Miller, President and CEO of The Source magazine. "These rumors and lies have been and continue to be false. We are looking forward to finally being able to move forward without distractions."

:::::T.I. single again:::::

T.I. breaks up with his long time girl

&
back single again

At the height of his career he manages to control the on-going questions about his recent brake up with Tiny (former member of the RnB Group Xscape). T.I, the self proclaimed King of the south, has announced his break-up with long time girlfriend Tiny.

This sudden break up did not end in a sour note. T.I. believes it is time to just move on from the situation because of the opposite focuses in life.

With his new movie, ATL scheduled to release and new album “King” due out this coming Tuesday, (March 28,2006), T.I has a lot of things to worry about …not to mention a label to run and other lucrative business. T.I. is a full time business man that does not have time for a relationship.

Now there are many women across the world that may be happy with this decision but I guarantee that T.I. is not looking to fill Tiny’s shoes just yet.

It was reported that Rapper T.I. ad actress and new video vixen Nia Long was seen at Berry’s (a late night eatery) all intimate. Now some witnesses say that they tried to exit out the back of the hotel but were spotted going toward the room together.

When asked if he was still with Tiny, he said, "I regret to inform you that I’m single. We’re still on good terms. I just think we’re in two different places. Those were some of the best years and best times of my life with her. When people are not happy, they tend to grow apart eventually, so we had to make some decisions. It's not worth making both people miserable. It's the mature thing to do in a relationship. I ain’t trippin." Aw, I really liked them together. But women are rejoicing everywhere at the news that T.I. is on the market.

:::::New Group -"Ga.P" brings the new RnB flavor:::::

THEY ARE YOUR ROUND THE WAY

Ga.PEACHEZ
(NEW GROUP Ga.P)

Now that Tiny has left the group Xscape after a reunion (sans lead singer Kandi Burruss) didn't work out. She's now teamed up with Keisha, (Kandi's replacement) to form a new duo called "GA. P" short for Georgia Peaches.

Blending sweet melodies, sultry vocals, and street lyrics, their sound is smooth and sexy but all about real life. Knowing that these two can sing we are in for a surprise.

In this time of music GA.P is trying to bring back the early 90’s sound and incorporate it with the new Atlanta flavor. Atlanta is surely staking a claim in music these days and Ga.P will indeed follow suite.

Women will surely gravitate to this group because of the ultimate connection of the girls’ likeable appeal. The two group members Tiny(Lil Mama) and Kiesha(Babi), truly has the “Roud the Way” home-girl appeal that will elevate themselves into a marketing professionals grand project.

Young Jeezy

Young Jeezy Arrested After Altercation In Miami

Yes the "Snowman" what we all know him as Young Jeezy was arrested Saturday morning and charged with two counts of carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.

What are we to say about all of this? As rap industry fans take a look at the momentum that Jeezy posse can we say this was a small mistake or was it a case of wrong place wrong time.

Now when I write I like to write objectively an I like you as the reader to get your own assessment of the issues and the happenings in the rap industry.

We should take a minute and say to ourselves. Is this perpetuating the myth of the rap culture? Coming off of the Three Six Mafia Oscar win, is this telling non-rap fans that we can not seem to disassociate ourselves with mischievous activity?

All of this happens after the rapper was involved in an altercation on
South Beach in Miami, Florida. Young Jeezy, born Jay Jenkins, and an entourage of men allegedly associated with BMF, were involved in a fight with a group of men around 5:30 am on Saturday (Mar. 11).

We tried calling Jeezy's management for the real story but we have not received a phone call back ... Ironically I have a good relationship with Jeezy Management and I know that they are cool dudes. This situation has to fizzle for the sake of the flourishing Jezzy career.

Coming out with clothing line, new singles and even more hood credibility, Jeezy need to take focus and know that he has a great career ahead him. Jeezy has quickly joined the ranks of Southern rap stars of today, like T.I., U.G.K., 8 Ball and MJG, Scarface, and more.

When a person filming the altercation refused to turn over the video camera, one of the men in the crowd began firing. Police allegedly stated that Jeezy and a group of men, fled in two SUV's. When officers stopped both vehicles, they found a semiautomatic weapon under the seat of the rapper's Infiniti Qx56, as well as another gun near the arm rest.

It is time for you to formulate your own analysis... But one thing for sure you heard the "REAL TALK" here with me.....

THREE SIX MAFIA DOES THE UNTHINKABLE

Three Six MAfia Making Strides for the
Hip Hop Culture

Regional Group Takes Oscar !!

Was it in fact a win-win situation with Three six Mafia for the Oscar nomination? Was it a situation of right place, right time? Was it in fact just a great song that depicted what actually goes on in the mean streets of Memphis,Tenn? One thing for sure on Sunday, March 5, 2006 it was not “hard out there for a pimp!”

We all will never know but the members of Three Six Mafia, Jordan "Juicy J" Houston, Paul "D.J. Paul" Beauregard, and songwriter Cedric Coleman, of the famous ,now “Academy Award winning” song “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” can tell you it was nothing but hard work.

Three Six Mafia has won the Oscar for best original song in a movie and critics are Reflecting on if the song was even warranted. This things for sure, the group has silenced the critics about the ability of rap music and its influence.

When “pimp” won, it followed precedent set two years ago, when Eminem won an Oscar for best original song for his infectious rap, “Lose Yourself,” from the movie 8 Mile. At least lyrically, “Pimp” is more unsuitable for prime-time audiences, primarily because it depicts the gestures of a more repugnant character.

While staring in the movie Hustle & Flow, the group was elated to get the opportunity to have a hand in the depiction of the gritty life of a Memphis,Tenn pimp on the grind to use his hustle and flow to get him to the top.

Elate to be nominated ad invited to perform, Three Six Mafia cleaned up the words to patronize the Oscar audience.

While taking the stage at the 78th Annual Academy Awards, the Memphis,Tenn rap group mad sure that they were making history with a performance to last a life time. This performance was monumental for the culture of Hip-Hop. You don’t have to be an avid supporter of the group to understand this was great strides for the hip hop music culture.

In case it hasn’t applied enough cleanser, the network will use a five-second delay to help its censors, said the group’s attorney, Aaron Rosenberg.

“It’s admirable that voters are recognizing the hip-hop generation and its influence on American culture,: said Rosenberg.

It’s a compromise, for certain, but at this point, everyone involved seems to feel like a winner.
